Qwetch: the story began in 2010
The story of Qwetch began in 2010, when a trip to China marked a turning point. Stéphane Miquel discovered in Danian a tea culture deeply embedded in daily life.
There, loose-leaf tea is enjoyed everywhere: at home, in rice fields, at work, on public transport, in parks… alone or shared. This simplicity and consistency inspired a powerful idea: a nomadic object capable of following this lifestyle.
Back in France, this idea evolved into a new concept: the “nomadic teapot”. The goal was simple: to make it easy to brew and carry beverages while reducing single-use packaging waste.
This is how Qwetch was born, with a clear vision: to create useful, durable, and elegant everyday objects.
Qwetch’s mission: a different way of consuming
Qwetch goes beyond designing bottles and mugs: the brand is part of a broader movement encouraging more conscious and thoughtful consumption.
Its commitment is built on several pillars:
- Responsible manufacturing, with attention to production conditions and continuous improvement
- Circular design, creating long-lasting products that reduce waste
- Climate action, measuring and reducing carbon emissions
- Solidarity, supporting projects that help restore ecosystems
- Collective movement, encouraging reuse and new habits
The core idea remains the same: offering practical solutions that make change accessible, without guilt, but through simple everyday alternatives.
